Privacy Policy

Douglass Vision is operated by Douglass Painting. This policy explains what happens when you use the paint-visualization studio or request an estimate.

Project photos and AI processing

Photos you upload are sent to OpenAI’s API so Vision IQ can analyze the visible space, identify paintable surfaces, and create requested AI visualizations. We do not add your photos to a public gallery.

Saved projects and sharing

When you choose Save project, or include a preview with an estimate request, we store the prepared project photo, saved results, paint selections, and project notes using our hosting provider’s database and object storage. Unsaved work remains in the current browser session. A secure browser cookie identifies your saved projects without requiring an account. Reopen projects using the same browser and site address; clearing cookies or changing browsers can remove your access.

Projects are private until you create a sharing link or include images with an estimate. Anyone with a project sharing link can view the saved project, including its original photo and results. They cannot edit it. Stop sharing disables that project link. Deleting a saved project removes its stored images and disables project-sharing and estimate-image links for those images.

Contact and project information

If you request an estimate, we collect the name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, project notes, and paint selections you submit. If you select the image attachment option, your original photo and selected preview are included through private image links for our team. We use this information to respond to your request, prepare for a consultation, and follow up about Douglass Painting services. We do not sell this information. Deleting a saved project does not delete the contact details and text of an estimate already submitted.

Security and abuse prevention

We use limited technical information, including a hash derived from network and browser information, to enforce daily usage and storage limits, prevent abuse, and control rendering costs. We do not store the raw network address in the public-usage record. We keep rendering success, failure, and timing records for up to 30 days for reliability monitoring; these records do not contain your photos.

Service providers

We use service providers to host the application, process AI requests, and deliver customer inquiries. Those providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Your choices

You may use the visualization studio without submitting an estimate request. To ask what contact information we have about you or request deletion, email coast2coastriches@gmail.com.

Updates

We may update this policy as Douglass Vision adds saved projects, accounts, text or email delivery, or other features. The effective date above will change when an update is published.
